ePay has developed a free payment module for WP e-Commerce, making it easy to accept payment cards in your online store.

WP e-Commerce is a free shop extension for WordPress. This mean you have to install WP e-Commerce before installing ePay’s module.

It’s simple to install and use the ePay module. Download the module, and follow the 4 steps below – now you’re up and running!
Please notice

This module is developed for WP e-Commerce which is a shop extension for WordPress. You need to install this extension before installing ePay’s payment module.

1. Create an ePay account

You need a test account with ePay to try the module. A test account is free and it only takes a few minutes to register. After registration you’ll get a test merchant number which is used to test the module.

Get a free test account

Please state that you want a test account in the comment field in step 2. You can disregard all listed prices.

You can test the module for as long as you like. When you’re ready to accept real payments, we’ll upgrade your test account to a production account. This way you don’t have to start from scratch and create a new account.

2. Install the ePay module in WP e-Commerce

NB: Please make a backup of your existing website before installing the module.

Download the payment module, and save it to your hard drive.

Go to Settings -> Store (please see image 1).

Choose Payments at the top of the screen (see image 2), and tick off ePay. Press ‘Update’ to save the settings.

3. Activate ePay’s module in WP e-Commerce

The ePay module is installed and needs to be activated.

On the right you’ll find settings for the module (Settings -> Store -> Payments).

Enter your merchant number in the field “Merchant number”. It’s either a test or production number.

Press ‘Update’ at the bottom of the page.

The payment module is now activated. Make a purchase in your store to test the module.

4. Test the payment module

The domain from which you’re testing must be correctly registered on your ePay administration in Settings -> Payment system. If not, ePay cannot open the payment window and present it to your customers.

To test the module, simply complete a purchase in your store.

Fill in your information, choose ePay as your payment method, and press ‘Purchase’.

In image 3 you’ll find an example of ePay’s payment window. You can add your own logo and company information at the top of the window. To do this, go to Settings -> Payment window in your ePay administration.

The customers choose between the payment methods that are activated on your ePay account. When the payment is completed, and the customer closes the payment window, he/she is directed to an order confirmation page (see image 4).
